Our Story

Welcome to Washington Lumber & Home Center!

Washington Lumber & Home Center was established in June of 2013. Our owner, John Redlinger, was an established, well-known carpenter and contractor in the Washington area. His reputation preceded him: honesty, high quality work and a commitment to doing what you say you will do. Three of his four boys - Jeremy, Eric and Rob - are part of the business and all have construction experience. In fact, if you add together all of our home building and general construction experience it equals over 6 decades - that's right, nearly 60 years of knowledge that is shared to make your experience as easy as possible.

We pride ourselves in providing virtually everything you may need for your home or business projects, top to bottom, inside to outside. We offer lumber, sheathing, shingles, siding, windows, doors and moldings/trim.

We also have lighting and plumbing fixtures (sinks & faucets), cabinets, paint, mailboxes, shovels, hoses, insulation, sheetrock, fasteners, hardware, storage, power and hand tools, and much more.

We may not always have the cheapest prices but we will have the products WE would use for ourselves.

Washington Lumber & Home Center is a member of Do it Best, giving you access to over 67,000 items in our warehouse with many available for free ship to store!

We also have a location in Sigourney, IA. Sigourney Lumber, located at 802 N.
